Ask yourself these questions
- What surface needs protection?
- What is the texture of the surface?
- What outside issues may effect the durability?
- How long does it need to be protected?
- What does the surface need protection from?
- Any other properties necessary for the film? (visibility, stretch, tint)
- What are the dimensions needed?
- What problem are you trying to solve?
- What are testing procedures?
How to Apply film
Film Application requires pressure and technique. In order to apply film correctly every time, there will need to be lots of testing. Most film application is done by machines but if you need to apply it by hand here's how: with a squeegee! Applying even pressure throughout the film is important to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.
How to Remove adhesive
Because there is so much testing involved in choosing the right tack level, there can be times where adhesive is left on the surface after removal. To remove leftover adhesive you can simply use a residue removal agent. The specific agent will depend on the severity of the issue.
